Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance
Our commitment to our community is that no person will be turned away due to inability to pay.
The YMCA of Greenville & Hunt County can make this extraordinary commitment because we have lots of dedicated volunteer fundraisers and generous donors who ensure that any person who wants to pursue a healthy lifestyle can access the programs and services we provide. In fact, in 2010 we gave out thousands of dollars in direct financial assistance to ensure that Y programs and memberships were accessible for everyone.
Our 2010 Strong Kids Campaign raised more than $24,000. This member-to-member fundraising effort provides financial assistance for youth from low-income families to participate in Y value-based programs such as summer camp, youth sports and swimming lessons. This campaign also funds youth and family memberships, and after-school care.
